Hot keys list

Here is a list of hotkeys that you can use while working with DHTMLX Spreadsheet.

Editing

Enteractivates editor in a cell
Ctrl (Cmd) + Enterstops cell’s editing, leaves selection on the cell
F2opens editor in the selected cell
Esccloses editor in a cell without saving changes

Formatting cells

Ctrl (Cmd) + Ccopies the value of a cell
Ctrl (Cmd) + Vpastes the value into a cell, replacing any selected content
Ctrl (Cmd) + Xcuts the value of a cell
Ctrl (Cmd) + Zundoes the last action in a sheet
Ctrl (Cmd) + Yrepeats the last action in a sheet
Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Zrepeats the last action in a sheet
Ctrl (Cmd) + Bmakes the value of a cell bold
Ctrl (Cmd) + Imakes the value of a cell italic
Ctrl (Cmd) + Umakes the value of a cell underlined
Alt + Shift + 5 (Cmd + Shift + X)makes the value of a cell crossed out
Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Ecenters the value of a cell horizontally
Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Raligns the value of a cell to the right
Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Laligns the value of a cell to the left
Ctrl (Cmd) + Kinserts a hyperlink in a cell
Deleteremoves the cell content, saving the applied styles
Backspaceremoves the cell content, saving the applied styles

Navigation works in case no cell is being edited.

Enteractivates editor in a cell. Closes editor and moves selection one cell down (in a column). If a range of cells is selected, moves selection one cell down within the bounds of a range.
Shift + Entermoves selection one cell up (in a column). If a range of cells is selected, moves selection one cell up within the bounds of a range. Deactivated when reaches the first cell in a column.
Tabmoves selection one cell right (in a row). If a range of cells is selected, moves selection one cell right within the bounds of a range. Deactivated when reaches the rightmost cell in a row.
Tab + Shiftmoves selection one cell left (in a row). If a range of cells is selected, moves selection one cell left within the bounds of a range. Deactivated when reaches the leftmost cell in a row.
Arrow keysprovide navigation around cells in a sheet
Homemoves selection to the first cell in the row
Endmoves selection to the last cell in the row
Ctrl (Cmd) + Left Arrow Keymoves selection to the first cell in a row
Ctrl (Cmd) + Right Arrow Keymoves selection to the last cell in a row
Ctrl (Cmd) + Up Arrow Keymoves selection to the first cell in a column
Ctrl (Cmd) + Down Arrow Keymoves selection to the last cell in a column
Ctrl (Cmd) + Homemoves selection to the beginning of a sheet (top left-hand cell)
Ctrl (Cmd) + Endmoves selection to the end of a sheet (bottom right-hand cell)
Shift + Up Arrow/Down Arrow/Left Arrow/Right Arrow Keyextends selection from the selected cell
Page Upscrolls the sheet one screen up
Page Downscrolls the sheet one screen down
Ctrl (Cmd) + Fopens a search box in the top right corner of the spreadsheet
Ctrl (Cmd) + Gmoves selection to the next found match
Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Gmoves selection to the previous found match

Selection

Ctrl (Cmd) + Aselects all cells in a sheet
Ctrl (Cmd) + Left clickallows selecting multiple scattered cells
Left Shift + Left clickallows selecting a range of cells, where the selected cell is the first cell
of the range and the clicked cell is the last cell of the range
Ctrl (Cmd) + Shift + Left clickallows selecting multiple scattered ranges of cells
Ctrl (Cmd) + Spaceselects the whole column
Shift + Spaceselects the whole row

Work with sheets

Shift + F11adds a new sheet into the spreadsheet
Alt + Arrow Up/ Arrow Downswitches to the next/previous sheet
