# getSection

### Description

@short: Gets the object of the specified section in the currently active view

@signature: getSection: (section_id: string) =\> any

### Parameters

- `section_id` - (required) *string* - the section's id

### Returns
- ` section` - (object) - the section object

### Example

    ...
