### Description

@short: Returns false if the provided argument is undefined, otherwise true

@signature: defined: (event: any) =\> boolean

### Parameters

- `event` - (required) *object* - the object that should be checked

### Returns
- ` state` - (boolean) - false if the provided argument is undefined, otherwise true

### Example
