# getGlobalTaskIndex

### Description

@short: Gets the index of a task in the tree

@signature: getGlobalTaskIndex: (id: string | number) =\> number

### Parameters

- `id` - (required) *string | number* -        the task id

### Returns
- ` index` - (number) - the task index in the tree (zero-based numbering)

### Example
